Gene manipulation techniques
Advances in biology and biotechnology have enabled scientists to dissect biochemical pathways, to isolate genes of interest from different organisms and to transfer these back into the original or alternative hosts. Gene Manipulation is the process of transferring specific genes from the chromosome of one organism and transplanting them into the chromosome of another organism in such a way that they become a reproductive part of the new organism.
